How does the IntroPsych Blended Learning Model work? E-mail

The IntroPsych Program in the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour follows in the tradition of our long-standing reputation as Canada’s “most innovative” university. Our courses use a unique blended learning environment combining learning technology with traditional face-to-face instruction.

IntroPsych features online web modules - go to class anywhere you have an internet connection!
Web modules can be viewed anywhere you have an internet connection.
Web Modules.
One unique aspect of this course is that the primary course materials are presented in online web modules. Interact with a dynamic interface which can be accessed anytime in the comfort of your room, library, or anywhere you have internet access. Play videos, pause, jump, explore the searchable content, chat with fellow students viewing the web module, ask questions to the online TAs, test yourself with checkpoints, take a poll, and post a link or leave a comment on the shout wall.  You can view a sample (minus the interactive components) by clicking on IntroPsych Sample Lecture in the banner.

Small group tutorials and the Learning Lab allow for hands on face-to-face instruction.

Tutorials. Students meet weekly in a small group tutorial section led by a Teaching Assistant (TA) who is enrolled in PSYCH 3TT3: Applied Educational Psychology. TAs review challenging material, guide discussions, lead activities and answer questions. Our tutorials are consistently rated very highly and are updated each year helped by feedback from students and TAs.

Lobby Lab drop-in centre. The Lobby Lab is located in the PC lobby, open Mon-Thu 11:00AM-4:00PM can be used to catch up on  web modules and speak with Instructional Staff to get personal time to answer your questions.

**Tip: Level 2 students in need of a primer are welcome to drop-in and review last year's web modules and work with Instructional Staff to get you ready for the new term.
