You will have an opportunity to participate as a research subject in an actual experiment in the Dept of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour and earn a 5% credit towards your final exam. To do this option, you will need to register on Experimetrix. Here are some simple instructions for using Experimetrix

1. Using your web browser, access the Experimetrix website at www.experimetrix.com/mac.
2. From the yellow navigation bar, select "New User Registration". |

3. Enter the requested information to create your account. You must enter your seven digit Student ID number (i.e. 0912345) and your McMaster email address (i.e.

4. After a short wait, your Experimetrix username and password will be emailed to your McMaster email address. Access your McMaster email account by visiting http://muss.mcmaster.ca.
NOTE: Note: If you do not receive an email from Experimetrix within a day or so, you may attempt to reregister beginning at Step 1. Be sure to enter your McMaster email address carefully! If you are still experiencing difficulties, contact the Experimetrix administrator

5. Return to the Experimetrix website (www.experimetrix.com/mac) and select "Log In" from the yellow navigation bar. Enter the username and password emailed to you.
Note: To reaccess Experimetrix after your initial registration, begin from this step.

6. You will be presented with a list of available actions that you can complete within Experimetrix. Take a moment to review this navigation menu.
Note: You may wish to change your password from the default password assigned to you. You can do this by selecting "Edit your Profile" from the menu available.

|
7. You must specify the course to assign your Experimetrix credits to. From the previous menu, select "Edit Your Course Selection", then check "Psych 1X03" (or Psych 1XX3) and apply this change.
Note: You only need to complete this step once each term.

You are now ready to sign up for experiments using the Experimetrix website!
